Which Dashboard Should I Use?

1. What question are you trying to answer?

Use this section to pick the right Analytics view:

  • “How is my sales pipeline performing?”
Go to Analytics > Estimates > Sales Pipeline

    • Shows estimates by status (Pending, Sold, Lost).

    • Use this for pipeline volume and conversion.

  • “How much has each salesperson sold?”
Go to Analytics > Estimates > Salesperson Performance

    • Breaks down sales by Salesperson, with totals and status.

    • Best for individual sales results.

  • “How much has each estimator sold?”
Go to Analytics > Estimates > Estimator Performance

    • Similar to Salesperson Performance, but by Estimator.

    • Use this for estimating productivity and close rates.

  • “What is happening with my invoices and revenue?”
Go to Analytics > Invoices / Invoice Listing or Invoice Analytics

    • Shows invoice counts, totals, and payments, often by division, customer, or date.

    • Use this to understand billing and collections.

  • “How are my jobs performing vs estimate?”
Go to Analytics > Jobs / Job Listing / Job Cost Analysis

    • Compare estimated vs actual hours and costs by job.

    • Use this for job costing and to spot problem jobs.

  • “What is happening with specific customers?” (Customer 360)
Go to Analytics > Staff / Customer 360 (if available)

    • Shows revenue, gross profit, and activity by customer over time.

    • Use this to understand customer value and profitability.

  • “How many leads / new opportunities am I getting?”
Use CRM reports and dashboards (not just Analytics):

    • Reports like Referral Source Analysis and CRM dashboards show lead counts and sources.

    • Use this to track lead volume and marketing performance.

2. Things Analytics usually does not show

  • Future work beyond supported dates

    • Some views cannot show future years or long‑range future dates.

    • If you can’t see next year’s sold bids, that is a system limit, not a bug.

  • Every invoice type in every widget

    • Certain Analytics views may focus on invoices tied to estimates/jobs.

    • Stand‑alone or $0 invoices may not appear in all charts.

If you are unsure where a metric should appear, first decide:

  • Is it about estimates, jobs, invoices, or customers?
Then pick the matching section above.
