Add Client Notes to an Estimate
| š Client Notes in LMN are designed to provide transparency and clarity directly to your clients when they review an estimate. These notes help ensure that the client fully understands the services or workareas being quoted on the estimate, creating a smoother and more transparent working relationship. |
To add Client Notes to a job, navigate to the estimate you wish to create a Client Note for.
At the top of the Estimate, click the Client Notes tab
In this tab, you will find a list of Services/Workareas being presented in the estimate

When a Service/Workarea is selected, add customer-facing specific information you want to share with the customer
š”To make estimating more efficient, and to provide ease-of-use, copy/paste a standard Client Note created as Customer Descriptions in their Term and Conditions repository. - Click the Add Terms and Conditions button.
- From the list of Customer Descriptions created in the Terms & Conditions repository, select the the "+" button next to the Customer Description you wish to ADD INTO that Workarea/Service.
- To complete the process before continuing, click Save Changes at the top of the page.
Add Crew Notes to an Estimate
| š In LMN, Crew Notes for Estimates are designed to serve as internal communications specifically for the crews working on the project. They offer specific guidance on how to execute tasks, including methods, equipment needs, or any special processes required on-site. Crew Notes help to clearly define the work that needs to be completed, ensuring that any unique project details or modifications from the standard scope are well communicated. By highlighting any potential hazards, access issues, or unique site conditions, these notes contribute to both smoother operations and a safer work environment. Crew Notes also serve as a record of internal discussions or customer decisions made during the estimation process, which can be useful for future reference or if questions arise during project execution. |
Crew Notes in LMN are an essential tool for ensuring that the crew has all the necessary, detailed information to execute the project efficiently and safely. Additionally, when an Estimate is converted into a LMN Job, these Crew Notes will become Task Notes and will appear immediately when Crews are starting their time on a particular Service or Workarea using the LMN Crew Mobile App.
To add Crew Notes so a job, navigate to the estimate you wish to create a Client Note for.
At the top of the Estimate, click the Crew Notes tab
In this tab, see a list of Services/Workareas being presented in the estimate
Click open any of the Service/Workareas and enter in any instructions, processes, hazards, or customer specific instructions that will then appear as a Task Note when the crew begins their time on the Task.
To complete the process before continuing, click Save Changes at the top of the page.
