What's Changed & Why?

LMN has redesigned the Job Detail page. The goal is simple: give ops managers and owner-operators everything they need to understand a job — without having to click more than one level deep.

The redesigned Job Detail page brings together your work breakdown, crew timesheets, and invoicing all into one view.

Things to note:

  • The redesigned Job Detail page applies to jobs created from Standard Estimates only. Jobs from Service Estimates, or jobs created without an estimate, are not affected.
  • The redesigned Job Detail page is opt-in. You'll turn it on when you're invited to the beta. You can turn it off at any time.
  • This is a work in progress. We’re aiming to get the foundation right before building on it, so at this point, some features (such as the scheduling tab) are not included.  We encourage you to try it out share feedback to help us build a better product.

Turn On the New Redesigned Job Detail Page

Follow the steps below to turn on the new redesigned Job Detail page (if your account has been invited to the beta.)

  1. In LMN, navigate to Settings > Jobs > Job Settings
  2. Toggle the redesigned Job Detail page experience ON

Once the toggle is on, any job you create from a Standard Estimate will open in the new experience.
⚠️ You can come back here and turn it off at any time if you want to return to the classic view.

Create a Job with New Jobs Page + Overview

  1. Open a Standard Estimate that's been Approved
  2. Click the Create Job button
  3. Click Confirm in the Create Job?  modal

New Jobs Page Overview:

Client Details
In the upper left, you'll find your client details — name, address, phone number, and email address, all with "quick-copy" buttons. Click the address to open in Google Maps.

Job Details
On the upper right, you'll find your job details — Job Name, Division, Estimator, and a read-only Job ID. Click the Job ID to open the linked estimate in a new tab. Additional Job details can be accessed with the More Details button.

Estimated Work
At the bottom of the screen, all of the Work Areas from the Estimate have been automatically created as Tasks on this Job. This is what your crew will see and clock into in the Crew App.

Share Feedback
At the top, click the Share Feedback button the share feedback about the new Jobs experience.

Save Changes
If you make changes anywhere on the jobs page, they will save automatically. There's no Save button — just make your edit and LMN confirms it with a quick message in the bottom right corner.

Progress Widgets
In the middle of this page, you'll see the Progress Widgets that give you an at-a-glance snapshot of the job: Hours, Job Costs, Billing Summary and Net Profit. See the table below for more details.

Hours Job Costs Billing Summary Estimated Net Profit
The Hours widget shows actual crew hours logged on timesheets versus your estimated hours. Hours are color-coded by timesheet status —
Green for approved.
Blue for submitted or in review.
Red if you've gone over the estimate.
The Job Costs widget to view the total actual Costs against the total estimated Costs allocated for this job. You can select View details to see a breakdown by cost types. If actual costs exceed your estimated costs, the progress bars will turn red. The Billing Summary widget shows how invoicing is tracking against the total job value.
Green shows payments received.
Blue shows invoices sent but unpaid.
Grey shows what hasn't been invoiced yet.
The Estimated Net Profit widget shows your net profit in dollars and as a percentage.

Progress Tabs
Below these widgets, you’ll see tabs for Work details, timesheets, files and billing- this is where everything related to the job is really pulled together, and made accessible. See table below for more in-depth info.

Tab Details

Work Details

This is where you'll see all of your Work Area cards — one for each Work Area from the estimate. Each card shows the task name, total Actual vs Estimated crew hours, total price, and profit percentage
A Progress bar will show actual versus estimated hours for that specific work area.
Green if you're on track and turns
Red if the estimated hours are exceeded

Click to expand a Work Area card and you'll see three sub-tabs:

Items Client Notes  Crew Notes
Read-only view of all the estimated items in that work area, including quantities, costs, and prices. Read-only view of any notes that were shared with the client on the estimate. These are editable directly on the page. Your crew will see these in the Crew App.

💡 This replaces the Scoreboard view from the classic Jobs page — but now it's built right into the job.

Timesheets

Timesheet cards are grouped by week.
At the top of each week, you'll see a quick summary of total crew hours and what that means in labor costs.

Each Timesheet card shows the status, which task the crew clocked into, punch in & out times, total duration, and any task notes
Hover over the notes to see the full text.

If your crew submitted photos, thumbnail previews appear right on the card.
Photos marked as critical show up first + highlighted.

Click any photo thumbnail to open a full-screen preview. You can scroll through all photos submitted for this job using the arrow keys. Use the Download button in the upper right to save photos to your computer.

Use the filters in the upper right of the tab to narrow timesheet cards by crew lead or task.

Files

You can upload multiple files at once here.
Supported file types follow the same conventions as before — most file types under 28MB are accepted.

File cards show the file name, type, and upload date
You can download or delete files from here. All files uploaded to this tab are visible to your crew in the Crew App.

Click any image to preview it. You can scroll through all files using the arrow keys, and download them using the button in the upper right.
⚠️ Note: if your account is on LMN Starter, the Files tab will not be visible.

Billing

This is where you'll manage all invoices and payments for the job.
The manual Invoice Activation step is gone — invoices are ready to work with here directly.
You'll see two sections:
Planned Invoices One-off Invoices
• These are payment milestones tied to the job. If you set up milestones on the estimate before the job was created, they'll already appear here as invoice cards.

• To generate an invoice, click the card and Create Invoice. Ungenerated invoices show placeholder dashes for the invoice date and age until they're generated.

• If you didn't set up milestones on the estimate, you can click Setup Invoice Plan to set them up here. Enter a description and the percentage or dollar amount for each milestone — they need to add up to 100% of the total job value. Once saved, they'll appear as invoice cards ready to generate.
• If you prefer to bill without a plan, you can create individual invoices here instead. Once you create your first one-off invoice, the Invoice Plan option will no longer appear.

• One thing to note: all dollar amounts on this page are shown exclusive of sales tax. This is intentional, to keep things consistent with how amounts appear on the estimate.

Additional Notes

A few things to keep in mind as you use the redesigned Job Detail page:

  • Tasks are fixed at job creation. You can't add, rename, delete, or merge tasks yet. For now, make sure your estimate work areas are set up the way you want them before creating the job.
  • No scheduling tab yet. You can still schedule jobs from the Whiteboard and Calendar — just not directly from the Job page. This will come in time!
  • Material tracking is not yet available in the redesigned Job Detail page. You can't toggle materials for timesheet tracking or manually input material actuals from this page.
  • T&M billing — the ability to set tasks to bill hourly or per unit is coming soon.
  • Change orders — the workaround of mapping estimate work areas to job tasks is not supported in the redesigned Job Detail page. A full change order solution is being developed.
  • Opting out — the toggle in Job Settings can be turned off at any time to return to the classic experience.
